Frequently Asked Questions

01What is a Balinese kebaya?+
Balinese kebaya is the traditional women's blouse of Bali, made from brocade, silk, or cotton with lace or embroidered motifs. Paired with a kamben (wraparound cloth) and selendang, it is worn for adat ceremonies, temple odalan, weddings, and daily life.
02What is the difference between embroidered and painted kebaya?+
Embroidered kebaya uses thread-work technique on fabric to form motifs. Painted kebaya uses textile paint applied directly to the surface, producing freer and more artistic patterns. Both are suitable for ceremonies and formal occasions.
03How much does a Balinese kebaya cost?+
Prices vary by material and technique. Plain kebaya ranges from Rp 150,000–Rp 350,000. Embroidered kebaya Rp 300,000–Rp 600,000. Painted kebaya from Rp 400,000. At Agniantari, all pieces are made by local Jembrana artisans at accessible prices.
04Does Agniantari take family dress set orders?+
Yes. Agniantari accepts orders for matching family traditional Balinese dress sets — perfect for odalan, weddings, ngaben, or religious holidays. Orders are placed via WhatsApp for size, colour, and style consultation.
05Does Agniantari ship outside Jembrana?+
